Charity Paper Banks - Supporting the local community

'£10.00 per tonne going to local worthy charities'

Residents of North Somerset and Bristol can raise money for local charities and voluntary groups by recycling their newspapers and magazines in a paper bank scheme set up jointly by Perrys Recycling and the Quartet Community Foundation.

Perrys Recycling is providing and maintaining the paper banks across the county. The paper (newspapers, magazines, junk mail & telephone books) is processed at its depots and then sold to Recycling Mills to be made into new newsprint, with £10 per tonne going to Quartet Community Foundation.

Perrys Recycling hopes to expand the scheme and is looking for new sites, such as supermarkets & retail parks, to place a charity paper bank.

The Quartet Community Foundation is a local independent charity that raises funds and awards grants to a wide range of community projects and voluntary groups which benefit local people. Supporting children, youth groups, and older people, those with special needs or disabilities, sports groups, and art and drama projects, it aims to build stronger communities for the benefit of everyone throughout North Somerset and Bristol
