Woodland Walk at Midney Farm in aid of St. Margaret's Hospice

The Perry family, of Midney farm, near Somerton is welcoming visitors to their woodland and lake in aid of St. Margaret's Hospice, on Saturday 22nd September, between 11.00am-4.00pm, for a modest entry fee of £2.50. Parking and toilet facilities are available.

Brian Perry originally organised this event before his illness and the family wish to fulfil his wishes.

The Love Somerton Community Group have refreshments and cake on sale in aid of St. Margaret's Hospice, and visitors are very welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy by the lake.

Midney Farm is a grade 2 farmhouse, complete with a beautiful Tithe Barn surrounded by gardens and fabulous walks. In addition to the garden, visitors are also welcome to stretch their legs and spot the wildlife while exploring the sixty acres of woodland. They can then relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the two acre lake. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Susan Bickle, St Margaret's Hospice Open Garden Coordinator is looking forward to the day, saying ‘This is such an amazing finale to a successful year of garden openings. Midney Farm is a beautiful setting, with lovely views across to Somerton, and truly offers something for everyone, including our four legged friends. I would encourage visitors to come along on this special day, to peek at what is hidden behind the stone walls '
