Recycling firm Perrys Recycling would like to
make clear that the removal of some of its recycling banks in Somerset followed
discussions with Somerset Waste Partnership over several months about removing
under-utilised banks.
Somerset Waste Partnership have increased kerbside
household recycling services, which resulted in a tonnage drop in certain paper
banks. Therefore in conjunction with
the economic downturn we have had to review 31 poor performing paper banks,
with over 100 paper banks remaining with no plans for removal; giving the
general public the choice and convenience of how they want to recycle with
kerbside and bring sites.
Perrys Recycling collects from a
number of councils and commercial companies throughout the South West and these
services have not been affected, although some price adjustments have had to be
made because of the drop in commodity prices worldwide.
Perrys Recycling has been
established in the South West for more than 50 years. The company is still
investing and expanding our range of services for customers, as we believe
recycling has a strong future.
